Villa Themis
This lovely villa is situated on the outskirts of the village of Votsi with good clear views all around. It has good distance views of the sea and harbour area from the upper terrace. It is within ten minutes’ walk of the harbour front in Votsi which offers a choice of tavernas and good moorings. Votsi has a supermarket, butchers and bread is available all within a couple of minutes’ walk of the villa. Within ten minutes’ walk likewise is the hamlet of Rsoum with its excellent sand and shingle beach and tavernas. The main village of Patitiri is within twenty minutes’ easy walk.
The villa was built in 2006 by the present owners who also had the forethought to buy the land in front of the villa to ensure a permanent open view. The villa also looks onto the countryside around Votsi.
The villa is very well maintained and needs no work at all. It is sold with fixtures and fittings. The house is a pale lemony/beige colour with terracotta roof tiles. The outside areas are easy to maintain, gravelled with a couple of smaller flower beds. There is plenty of parking and a boat could likewise be stored.
At the main entrance to the house is a door to the left which enters the studio area of the house and immediately to the front is the main front door which opens onto an airy cool hall area with large floor to ceiling fitted cupboards and wardrobe space. The villa is tiled throughout in a pale terracotta tile which gives a fluid continuity to the villa.
On the ground floor are two bedrooms and a family sized shower room. The master bedroom has plenty of fitted wardrobe space plus a built in dressing table. There is a large mirror and a double black metal framed bed. All the rooms have unusual but very attractive glass light fittings. This bedroom opens via balcony doors onto a shady covered terrace with a huge old olive tree. This keeps both of the bedrooms cool. The terrace wraps around the house and access is also available from the second bedroom and from balcony doors in the hall area. Part of the terrace has a pergola and sun.
The second bedroom has twin beds, a free standing double wardrobe and a fan. It is of a good size.
The shower room is large and tiled in a very attractive blue mosaic tile. There is a large walk in shower plus the usual hand basin, loo and mirror.
On the upper floor of the villa is a large open plan kitchen/sitting room/dining area. The kitchen area is well fitted with wooden cupboards both baseline and eye line with a granite style work surface. There is a large fridge/freezer, microwave, full sized oven etc.
The whole of this upper area has open beams in the typically Alonissos style. There is a corner fireplace and the area has three sets of balcony doors each opening onto a different aspect of the upper terraces. There is ample seating for six and also a breakfast bar plus dining table and chairs. This large room has been well thought out and has a music area, large flat screen TV with many DVDs, books etc.
Outside on the terrace is a large built in BBQ taking charcoal. There are lots of outside seating, sun loungers etc and there are beautiful views all around and particularly to the front of the villa which looks out over the sea.
The separate studio has a small kitchenette with fridge and a granite look work surface and a beige splash-back. There is a double bedroom with a shower room off decorated in the same blue mosaic tile. The studio has its own entrance and can be used quite separately or as part of the main house very easily. There are outside steps to an upper terrace which can be used exclusively for the studio if wished.
The villa has solar heating as well as immersion heater if needed.
