Villa Hara

This large luxury villa is situated on a ridge between the Old Village and Patitiri and thus gives stunning views in both directions.

It has been built to a very high standard and excellently furnished using the best available materials. With all main facilities and satellite TV connections.

It is within easy walking distance of the Old Village and Patitiri and road access is good.

The villa is set on a plot of approximately 3,300 square metres with 158 square metres of accommodation on two floors and a possible further 100 square metres on the ground floor which is presently used as a store.

The property is accessed through wrought iron gates which lead to the garage area, a large BBQ kitchen and onward through gardens to the actual villa.  Marble steps lead up from the plaka path to the front door.

The front door opens onto a large open plan room which consists of lounge, dining area and kitchen. Due to the architects skill the area is broken up by utilizing different levels and the use of pillars which gives the appearance of a huge space.
Light coloured marble steps lead left down to the lounge area which is very simply but elegantly furnished. A large set in fireplace edged in marble is a feature of this room as is the curved shape of the room itself. Lights are set into the ceiling but the room also has wall lights. Balcony doors lead onto a curved balcony with views over Patitiri and across to Two Brothers islands.

Ascending a couple of steps from the lounge area takes you into the dining area with a large dining table for six and central lights. This area is approximately 3 x 4.5m and opens onto a balcony which looks towards the Old Village and large windows opening onto the swimming pool. A very light airy space.

Off the dining area is the fully fitted large kitchen. This really is a luxury kitchen! The wood used is honey coloured and blends wonderfully with the wall tiling and floor colours. It is separated from the dining area by cupboards and a glass fronted display unit.  Off the kitchen is a utility room which houses the washing machine. All the usual white goods are present and in perfect working order. Above a double stainless steel sink is a window which looks towards the pool and the village. This room is approximately 3.7m x 2.5m but feels larger.

On the ground floor there is also a good sized shower room which is fully tiled and has a large white vanity unit with mirror and cupboards to the side.

From this large living area light coloured marble stairs lead to the upper floor which has an unusual design. The stairs split half way up with bedrooms leading off both sides of the house.

Going up the stairs to the left leads you to (in my mind) the main bedroom area. The master bedroom is approximately 5m x 3.5m with open beamed ceiling which allows for the cool circulation of air in the summer. Balcony doors lead on to the feature curved balcony which has an access to the other bedroom on the other side of the stairs. The balcony is very large and has ample space for sun loungers. It is very private and offers 180 degree views.
The room has ample space for a large double bed, chest of drawers, fully fitted wardrobes and bedside cupboards. A central ceiling fan and light plus other wall lights add character to the room. There is also a window which overlooks the pool and the Old Village and the beautiful woods of Alonissos.

On this side of the house there is a second bedroom, slightly smaller at 3.25m x 3m than the master bedroom but delightfully furnished with its own private balcony overlooking the pool and village. Again with fitted wardrobes and open beams.

Across from these bedrooms is a stunning bathroom with is fully tiled in a beige tile with darker wood fittings. It also has a corner bath with curtains! Plus of course, shower and toilet, and a lovely vanity unit with cupboards under and a mirror over.

Going part way back down the stairs and up to the other side of the house takes you to the third and possible fourth bedroom which is set at a mezzanine level.
The third bedroom has open beams and a wooden staircase leading to the mezzanine and shower room. This room is approximately 3.5m x 3.2m.
It has a large wrought iron style bed, built in cupboards and balcony doors leading onto the curved balcony.  The aspect from this curved part of the balcony would be more towards Patitiri and the islands of Two Brothers. The balcony is tiled in a beige tile with darker inset design. There is also a window which looks to Patitiri.

The mezzanine presently has a built in single bed and storage cupboards. Off this room is a rather small but fully tiled shower room with sloping roof.
This third and fourth bedroom could have a number of uses ie family with smaller child, teenagers having friends to stay, a couple with a computer/den area or library.

Before I go on to describe the outside areas I should reiterate this really is a luxuriously fitted property. No expense has been spared in the furnishings. The best marble, the best wood, the best tiles. The property is sold with all fittings.

As previously mentioned the total plot size is 3300 square metres. This is a large plot where full use has been made of its space. The pool itself which faces west is 8.5m x 5.8m and 2.5m deep. The area around the pool offers both sun bathing areas and shady pergola sitting areas. To the right of the pool and more towards the access area of the property is a shower room and a large outdoor kitchen. I can’t exactly call it a BBQ kitchen as it is just splendidly fitted with of course a large BBQ but it also has a fully fitted kitchen. It is fully tiled and has a large table for entertaining if the weather is less clement. It is a completely separate building from the house and is approximately 4m x 4m with open beams. Outside there is a pergola with tiled area for eating out.

Going back to the main house. As the house is accessed by going up steps to the front door there is a whole area under the house but on ground level which could be developed. This has the potential of another 100 square metres. This could be turned into a separate annex or used if the main house was rented out.

This is a very large, very luxurious property for someone looking for something very special. Ideal for a larger family or group of friends. Good rental potential.
