Getting to Alonissos

Alonissos has kept its unspoilt charm because it does not have an airport. It remains a well-kept secret, off the beaten track. Travelling to Alonissos involves a flight and a ferry/hydrofoil trip.

From May to October there are charter flights to Skiathos from most regional airports in the UK. Out of season travel is via Athens or Thessalonika. A view out to sea

From Athens there is a coach to Agios Konstantinos followed by a hydrofoil to Alonissos.

Alternatively, you can take an internal flight to Skiathos and then the hydrofoil to Alonissos. This is more usual during the summer months when people take advantage of very cheap flights to Athens and then fly on up to Skiathos.

BA and Olympic operate daily flight from Thessalonika and there are additional charter flights during the summer season. From Thessalonika there is a regular bus service to Volos which is our mainland port. From there you can pick up the hydrofoil/ferry. In the summer season there is a daily direct hydrofoil service from Thessalonika to Alonissos.
